Global Head of People

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Language Inspired leadership team to develop, implement, and lead a global people strategy that aligns and fully embodies our mission, vision and business goals.
  • Build the most effective and engaged team of people managers and acquisition specialists to support you. You will introduce metrics (KPI, OKR) to track the success of your area of responsibility.
  • Provide guidance and line management, while supporting the professional development of the PO team.
  • Managing mentoring and employee growth programs, certifications, training programs, etc. 
  • Closely collaborate with the Global Head of Language Talent to align internal and external people operation programs
  • With the support of your team, manage and carry out the full range of HR processes and functions. Ensure all HR programs are effective and in compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Keep abreast of current guidelines, legislation and new regulations, as well as changes and trends in the field related to GDPR/data privacy, background screening programs, recruitment, employment law, ISO 9001:2008 and  ISO 17100:2015 standards, sanction regulation etc.
  • Ensure that recruiting processes are consistent, streamlined, and targeted toward a global applicant pool. Train colleagues on global recruitment strategies to help produce a diverse candidate pool, and work with leadership and directors on workforce planning and hiring needs. Line manage the recruitment function with one direct report.
  • Ensure equitable, transparent, and competitive compensation and benefits programs which incentivize and reward performance. Oversee performance management/annual review plans and processes.
  • Provide employee relations support to leadership, directors, and staff, counselling employees on work-related issues while interpreting and applying organizational policies.
  • Promote a rewarding, people-centric culture that aligns with organizational mission, vision, and goals.
  • Work with the leadership team on HR strategies and processes. Drive organizational effectiveness by overseeing and improving policies, procedures, and programs, adopting new tools, and other key activities. Consult with legal counsel on employment matters as appropriate.
  • Oversee various technology platforms like XTRF, ATS (Personio, 365Talents, stebby, etc.), benefits administration technology, payroll, and retirement platforms.
  • Maintain a comprehensive approach for dealing with employee complaints or concerns. Serve as a coach and mentor to staff, as appropriate, to improve performance. Conduct investigations when employee issues or concerns arise. Partner with the leadership team, external support, other staff, and/or legal counsel to resolve employee issues fairly, consistently, and expeditiously.
  • Management of Employee wellbeing, organizing and moderating team meetups, team building events, etc.
  • Partner with the IT support to ensure staff technology needs are met and IT goals are aligned to organizational goals and strategy.

Experience

  • 5 + years of growing responsibilities in the field of HR.

  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing teams, including other HR and/or operations professionals.

  • Experience working in a global company recruiting and operating globally. You are a true generalist, have broad experience and in-depth knowledge in all functional areas of HR, with specialized expertise in at least two.

  • You have experience partnering with a wide range of internal constituents including leadership, board members, managers, associates, early-career colleagues, and interns.

  • You have an established network of HR peers.

  • Languages: English - Exceptional writing and communication skills.  (additional language skills will be considered an advantage).

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail and the ability to track and manage multiple critical initiatives

  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, onboarding, and performance management tools
